Prayer Ministry

We at St. Mary’s have always valued the power of prayer and, given the acceleration of physical, mental and emotional suffering within so many families due to this appalling pandemic, we wish to offer one to one prayer ministry over the telephone to anyone who may want to receive it. Please be assured all conversations and prayer requests will be totally and absolutely confidential.

Parish Prayer 

From 3rd October we are going to start to pray together a few minutes before Mass starts so that we can approach Mass quietly and prayerfully. Fr Peter has composed a lovely prayer, shown below,  which we will use as our Parish Prayer. We hope to print some copies for you to take away but if you’d like to print your own you can use the image below.

A prayer for Ukraine

Loving God,
We pray for the people of Ukraine,
for all those suffering or afraid,
that you will be close to them and protect them.
We pray for world leaders,
for compassion, strength and wisdom to guide their choices.
We pray for the world
that in this moment of crisis,
we may reach out in solidarity
to our brothers and sisters in need.
May we walk in your ways
so that peace and justice
become a reality for the people of Ukraine
and for all the world.
Amen.
